Scotty - I obviously never saw Bob Crompton play but anyone who makes 608 appearances for the club must have been doing something right.

MCMC1875 - Crompton - must have been a hero for ALL his endeavours for BRFC.

Ianrally - As I am also interested in the all time history of our fine club, my vote has to go to Bob Crompton. Any man who makes so many appearances for one club, achieves so many caps for his country in the days when there were far fewer International than there are now, and has the distinction of being the captain of his country for many of those appearances.

The fact that he was held in such high regard by his peers worldwide must be taken as an indication of the magnitude of the man.
The fact that he was the manager on two occasions and remained totally loyal to the Rovers all his life, then there can be only one way to vote.

Simon Garners 194 - Bob Crompton without question....his achievements are unmatched.
